Follow the easy steps below to create a new Group Snapshot.
If you’re looking to create a new Snapshot for an individual you’ll need the Creating a New Individual Snapshot guide instead.
From the green navigation bar at the top of the page, click Snapshots. This will take you to the Snapshots page where you can view existing Snapshots and create a new Snapshot.
From the Snapshots page, click on the New Snapshot button above the Snapshots table.
For a Group Snapshot you need to make your selection in the right-hand drop down menu where it says ‘Select Participant Group’.
To find the Group you want to create the Snapshot for simply start typing the Group name in the box.
Click on the Group name within the list and then click the Continue button.
Next you will need to select the type of assessment you wish to do for the Participant. For Groups, the only available option is a Universal Snapshot so no decision-making required!
Once you have selected the assessment type click the Continue button.
Complete the Snapshot for each Group Participant for each of the 11 systems listed. To select your answer to each of the statements simply click within the circular button.
You can click on the Save Snapshot button at the bottom of the page at any point, and then return at a later date by searching for it in the Snapshots page and clicking ‘Edit Snapshot’. We’d recommend you do this if you need to step away from your computer for a moment and return later, or if you’re completing the Snapshot for a large Group, as it won’t automatically save along the way.
Try to answer each Snapshot question as accurately as you can. If you click on each question a new page will open with more detailed guidance on what that skill might look like in practice.
Once you have completed your assessment for all Participants for all systems, click the Save Snapshot button. Don’t forget that you can use the ‘Edit Snapshot’ button if you later realise that you’ve forgotten to answer any questions.
Once you have submitted your Snapshot the results will be displayed in three parts:
- Colourful graphs showing the score (%) for each of the 11 systems
As default, the group average score will show as a bar chart, but you also have the option to show one or more Participants against this so you can see how their score compares to the average (more details on how to do this below). If you hover over any line within the graph you will see a box detailing the score for each Participant for that particular system. Don’t forget that for RAGE, FEAR and PANIC / GRIEF (the blocks to learning), a lower score is better.

You can sort the results in this table by clicking on the header of a particular column. For instance, if you want to order the CARE column with the lowest score at the top, click on the CARE header. To order the results with the highest score at the top, click again.
- A record of the answers submitted for each of the 11 systems
You can change which Participants are shown in the graph. This is particularly helpful if you have a large Group and you want to narrow it down so it is easier to view, look at one or more Participant scores against the Group average, or to look at a sub-section of that Group. To do this, simply click above the graph on the Participant names that you want to include and they will be added to the graph. To remove them, just click on their name again.
Now you have created your new Snapshot, you can create a New Program for the Group.
